Most people don’t really know what constitutes a healthy body. Misleadingly, some people think being skinny is healthy, while others believe that as long as they are not obese, they are considered healthy. VITAL SIGNS

One of the most basic factors that can determine if you have a healthy body is your vital signs. Your pulse, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen levels are able to give you a quick diagnosis of how healthy your body truly is at a given time. Your pulse should be between 60 and 80 beats per minute, your temperature between 97.8 and 99.1 degrees Fahrenheit, your blood pressure around 120/80 mm/Hg, and your breathing about 12 to 18 breaths per minute[1].

SKIN, HAIR & TEETH

Personal grooming can only go so far. Poor health will take its toll on your looks. If you are living unhealthily, sooner or later this will show. Does your skin look bright and supple? Do your nails look strong and even-textured? Do your teeth feel strong (you are able to chew well) and does not have cavities, tartars, or unusually yellow shade? If you answered yes to all these, then you are most likely healthy.
